MISS TOURISM KISII COUNTY 2014 AUDITIONS

MISS TOURISM AUDITIONS

Miss Tourism Kisii County Edition is an annual event organized by the Department of Tourism. Its main aim is to promote youth talents by allowing them to participate in promoting Domestic and International Tourism within Kisii County and bringing on board the state and non-state actors in promoting the pillars of Tourism which are; Tourist attractions, Peace, Investment, Culture, Hospitality and Environment.

This is achieved through Beauty Queens who spearhead the training of youths on Healthcare, County Transformation, Empowerment and Talent Management.

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Industry is seeking to recruit contestants for this year’s auditions across the Nine Sub-Counties and in Kisii Town, which is to take place in September, 2014.

REQUIREMENTS

a.       Must be a female aged between 21- 28 years.

b.      Must be a Kenyan citizen and resident of Kisii County by birth or having lived there for more than 10 years.

c.       Must have acquired Secondary Education and attained Minimum Grade of C in KCSE.

d.      Must be fluent in English, Swahili and any other foreign language.

e.      Must portray confidence and eloquence in public.

f.        Contestant must not have any exclusive contract with a modeling or advertising company

g.       Disciplined and well groomed.

Appropriate dates for auditions and competitions will be held in central venues in every Sub-County. Tentative dates and venues for the event will be as follows:

Application forms can be picked from any Sub County headquarter office, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Industry office in Kisii Town or downloaded from our website www.kisii.go.ke and sent to kisii@misstourismkenya.org
