TENDER NOTICE

Tender Name    :               AFFORESTATION OF KOGUTA (SONDU MIRIU) AND NYAMBENE HILLS (UPPER

RIVER TANA) CATCHMENT

1.1   The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates for the Afforestation of Koguta and Nyambene ; Sondu Miriu River and Upper River Tana Catchments respectively.

1.2   Interested eligible candidates may inspect the tender documents at the Supply Chain Management

Services Office, Nyayo House, 24th Floor, Room 24-16 during normal working hours.

1.3   A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates from the Deputy Director Supply Chain Management Services, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Nyayo House, 24th Floor, Room 24-16 during normal working hours, upon payment of non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1000/= (Kenya Shillings, One Thousand only) by cash or Bankers Cheque payable to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum or downloaded free of charge from the Ministry’s website at www.energy.go.ke

1.4   Prices quoted must be net inclusive of all taxes and delivery costs, and be expressed in Kenya shillings and shall remain valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the closing date of the tender.

1.5   The tender is composed of two (2) Lots. Bidders may bid for any number of lots. Youth, women and persons living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

1.6   Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form and amount specified under Appendix to Instructions to the Tenderers. The bid security must be valid for a period of 150 days from the date of tender opening.

1.7   Tenderers MUST attach copies of Registration Certificate/Certificate of Incorporation, and Tax Compliance Certificates. This also applies for each individual partner in case of a joint venture.

1.8   Tenderers MUST fill all the Forms provided in Section VII of the Tender Document.

1.9   Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with TENDER NO. MOEP/ONT/02/2014-2015 addressed to:

Or be deposited in the Tender Box situated on 24th Floor, Nyayo House so as to reach on or before 16th September, 2014 at 10.00 am.

2.0   Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers’ or their representatives who choose to attend the opening in the Ministry’s main boardroom on the 23rd floor house. Late tenders will not be accepted.
