REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR EVENTS MANAGEMENT FOR THE 6TH ALL AFRICA CONFERENCE ON ANIMAL AGRICULTURE

The 6th All Africa Conference on Animal Agriculture will be hosted by the Animal Production Society of Kenya (APSK) in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. The Conference will be held from 27th- 30th October 2014. It will examine the research and development progress in the continent and its effect on the environment and socio-economic lives of people

Scope of the service

The state Department of Livestock intends to procure services of event management for The 6th All Africa Conference on Animal Agriculture. The event services (“ the services “) will include participants management, Conference venue arrangements, Public media advocacy, Accommodation, Travel and Transport Services, delivery of Invitations ,coordination of Exhibitions, Sign Boards, Conference materials, communication and public relations, internal Security and catering.

Design

The conference attracts a large number of stakeholders and players – an average of 500 participants– drawn from across the continent and beyond. These include various State and non-State institutions, multilateral as well as development partner organizations

The duration of the services is expected to be two (2) months from September to 5th November 2014

Eligibility for the service

The State Department of Livestock now invites eligible event managers to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short listing criteria are:

a.       Experience in hosting international conferences.

b.      Have undertaken similar assignments

c.       Availability of appropriate skills among staff

d.      Registered firm

Expression of interest documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “Expression of interest for provision of services of event management for The 6th AACAA conference” and must be received on or before 3rd September 2014 at 11.00 noon East Africa time. For those submitted by package, the package should be clearly marked “Consultancy services for Event management of The 6th All Africa Conference on Animal Agriculture”. The expression of interest documents should be placed in the “Ministry Tender Box” situated at the main reception, Kilimo House ground floor by the indicated date and time.
