INVITATION TO TENDER

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing Technical cooperation measures on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The GIZ Office Nairobi invites bidders to submit, free of charge, and without obligation on part of GIZ, a bid on the basis of the following terms and conditions. Non-conformity with all conditions mentioned could lead to the exclusion of the bid.

Bids should be submitted for all enquired items in the requested quantities, design, production and delivery.

NB: All shirts except hooded sweatshirts shall have additional health slogan printed ‘Health Aware’. To get the correct colours, logos and slogan with wording for artwork design, additional requirements and sizes of the t-shirts, send a blank email with the subject: GIZ/91081730 to procurement.giz-kenia@giz.de . You will receive an automatic response.

Additional Requirements:

·          Confirmation of at least 30% of the quantity of the goods inquired ex stock

·          Reference list of supplies made for the offered goods over the last one year indicating the quantities per contract

·          Turnover for the last two years

·          Copies of Company Profile

·          VAT or PIN

·          Certificate of Incorporation

·          Shortlisted suppliers will be required to submit samples of previous products

·          The awarded bidder will be required to submit electronic artwork design and later samples for approval before production.

·          Please furnish a detailed production schedule towards the delivery date.

·          The total price quoted should be broken down into net price ex works, VAT, total cost and must be in KES.

Bidders are not allowed to contact or discuss any aspect of the tender with GIZ before closing of the tender as it will lead to automatic disqualification. Clarification requests must be sent by email (procurement.giz-kenia@giz.de ) latest by 28.08.2014 to be responded on 29.08.2014.

General purchase conditions of GIZ apply. GIZ is an environment friendly organization.

Payment will be made by bank transfer to the Supplier’s bank account within 30 days after submittal of the supplier’s invoice(s) and the proof of receipt of the deliveries at the final location(s).
