PROVISION OF BUILDING AND CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AT THE UNON FACILITIES IN NAIROBI, KENYA

United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) seeks expression of interest from suitably qualified companies for providing general construction services on various facility projects on UNON premises on an as-needed basis. Work will include but not be limited to interior trades such as demolition, structural steel and wood, wood finishes, glass, doors and windows, hardware, plumbing fixtures; as well as exterior trades such as brick and masonry. Renovation to the interior facility includes office buildings, visitor center, conference room, and storage space. Renovation to the exterior includes the parking space, open spaces and walkways.
The requirement of the service includes delivering a total and complete construction project as requested. The Service will include provision of constructive elements, common area as well as parking space. The work to be included under the Building and Civil Service Contracts is as described, but not limited to, the following:
The Bidder should have minimum five (5) years of experience in the construction field and local representation; the office should be located in Nairobi. The Building and Civil Engineering Contractors should be registered with National Construction Authority (NCA) of Kenya in categories NCA1, NCA2 and NCA3.
Vendors interested in supplying the above services are invited to submit their Expression of Interest by visiting our website (http://www.unon.org/content/expressions-interest ), and filling out and returning the Vendor Response Form by e-mail or via fax to the contact person indicated in the EOI form, not later than 16 September 2014.
UNON subsequently intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to pre-qualified companies who in UNON’s opinion are capable to provide the services in accordance with the requirements that will be fully specified in the solicitation document.
